White Tiger Kenpo Jujits is a unique martial discipline developed in the late 20th century to deal with the four ranges of Kicking, Striking, Trapping and Grappling.
Kenpo in general, traces it’s near history to the Pa Lama settlement on Oahu, Hawaii. It is based on approximately 150 self defense patterns cataloged by the members of the Black Belt Society, whose members included William Chow, who was Adriano Emperado (Kenpo) instructor, Walter Choo (Karate), Joe Holck (Judo), Frank Ordonez (Jujutsu), and George C. Chang.
Edmund K. Parker another of William Chow’s student brought Kenpo to the United States in the 1950’s, and founded the American Kenpo system. The Tracy Brothers (Al and Jim), who were Ed Parker students, established the Tracy’s Kenpo System based on these identical techniques. The true origins of these original 150 self defense patterns are unknown, yet it is believed they were influenced by several different cultures.
The following provides several of the distinctive elements of White Tiger Kenpo Jujits.
White Tiger Kenpo is a technique based Kenpo system and a study of movement developed for practical and realistic self defense for today’s unpredictable environment. It is a system influenced by self defense applications and principles from White Tiger Kung Fu and finishing elements of Daito-ryu Aikijujitsu. The applications contained within the system include striking, kicking, trapping, locks, pins, throws, and grappling applications. It is a system of self-defense designed to cover a broad range of self defense situations.
Our training is more physical than other schools. Our focus concentrates on the bujutsu aspects of self-defense. We train in a manner similar to Kajukenbo and Aikido, making sure each student has the most complete hands-on skill within their individual capabilities, while instilling the confidence to meet and stop aggression effectively.
Along with our martial emphasis, equal attention is concentrated on the growth and personal development of every student.
